But what does UPF 50+ mean?

When dry or even wet, the garment allows only 1/50th of the UV rays emitted by the sun to pass through. It would take the skin 50 times longer to burn or redden compared to if it were not covered. With a UPF 50+ rating, your children's skin is protected up to 98% from UVA and UVB rays. This is the highest level of sun protection.
